is a fast-growing market place with a huge variety of goods – “more than 45 million products” – across a wide range of sectors, from toys and games to electrical appliances, tools and DIY to Movies, Video Games and Music.
We have bought from Onbuy.com and have had a good experience, although that was with a major brand – a swan espresso machine.

We love Hive, who offer very good prices, fast, free delivery AND they donate a % of every sale to a bookshop local to the buyer. You can even suggest one if your favourite is not on their list. Nice people too.
are another excellent bookseller with a huge range and decent prices.
– discount prices tend to sell book remainders but are very good for non-fiction titles, especially travel and food. Also very good for arts and crafts and some board games and puzzles.
Toys And Games
https://www.sam-turner.co.uk/ – I found this brilliant site when searching for a chainsaw, of all things. They began as a farmer supplies store and have expanded to include outdoor clothing, pet foods and supplies, toys and game, a huge range of homewares and gardening and building equipment. Prices usually better than Amazon and fast delivery.
https://www.argos.co.uk – Always very competitive with “you know who” and offer fast delivery and pick-up from your local store(s). Be aware that delivery is dependent upon local stocks. But when in stock you can pay and pick up the same day.
Outdoor Equipment - Hiking, Camping etc
excellent range, with everything from tents to socks, rucksacks to crampons. Very helpful if you need to speak to them and prices a match for Amazon. Fast delivery too.
Farming And Garden Equipment and Supplies
I recently bought a cordless chainsaw from this place and it was £30 cheaper than Amazon and arrived within 2 days. They started as farm supplies but have branched out into all kinds of things. Well worth checking out for housewares, toys and games, pet supplies and building materials.
